Courage in a woman means believing things can only get better in spite of fear, trials and tribulations. Courage in a woman is unbeatable, immeasurable and incessant ,a woman must imbibe these qualities to overcome and uprising events of life, which is likely to pose threat to her.
The last few months was very “Tough” for me. I struggle with work, my kids, my business and my social life together. I am always scared and vulnerable when people meet me, some notice this situation immediately and they act upon it. I have failed to see myself as a very strong woman doing exceptionally well but I have to learn to trust and believe in myself in a hard way.
I was introduced to a lady by a friend who I really confide in, I gave this lady a chance to know me fully well, but to my surprise she became envious of me and went behind to report me to the government, saying “i need to be checked on,I might be into fraudulent things.” WOW!
What has happened to women supporting women? I am a single Mum and I have to fight hard to rise above all my problems, I work hard, take care of my kids and care of myself. I deny myself of any social attractions just to give my life a meaning, so what part of this is affecting you.
Life is what you make out of it my friend, you are whom you say you are. I am a strong fearless woman that stands through the storm, I keep standing, and i am not afraid of the storm. I am learning to sail my ship.
I find myself in a very awkward position, with sleepless nights thinking of how to go about the whole situation but I lean and trust in God and in myself, I learn that the only way is up for me to keep still and listen to my heart.
- Courage in a woman means not giving up on your dreams.
- Courage in a woman means supporting one another in good times and bad times.
- Courage in a woman is finding something good in every bad situation you find yourself.
- Courage in a woman means “you cannot beat a determined woman, you can only help her get stronger.
- Courage in a woman as I learnt from Sheryl Sandberg is leaning on and staying strong.
Being a single parent has put me through so many odd experiences, A family friend husband once lured me into a relationship with him, when he knows am intimate and close to his wife.
I have experienced some group of women not willing to be cordial friends with me all because I am a single mother, I have also experienced someone promising to look after me and my children but I have to marry him instantly and obey him,WOW!
This obviously means from fry pan to fire? These people see the fear in my eye even though I am a strong woman and they try to play on my vulnerability. I often remember a very inspiring quote of Michael Hyatt “Courage is the willingness to act in spite of your fears” .I feel scared most times but it does not stop me from reaching my goals.
This is what Taylor Swift says about fear:
“To me, “FEARLESS” is not the absence of fear. It’s not being completely unafraid. To me, FEARLESS is having fears. FEARLESS is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, FEARLESS is living in spite of those things that scare you to death. FEARLESS is falling madly in love again, even though you’ve been hurt before. FEARLESS is walking into your freshmen year of high school at fifteen. FEARLESS is getting back up and fighting for what you want over and over again… even though every time you’ve tried before, you’ve lost. It’s FEARLESS to have faith that someday things will change. FEARLESS is having the courage to say goodbye to someone who only hurts you, even if you can’t breathe without them. I think it’s FEARLESS to fall for your best friend, even though he’s in love with someone else. And when someone apologizes to you enough times for things they’ll never stop doing, I think it’s FEARLESS to stop believing them. It’s FEARLESS to say “you’re NOT sorry”, and walk away. I think loving someone despite what people think is FEARLESS. I think allowing yourself to cry on the bathroom floor is FEARLESS. Letting go is FEARLESS. Then, moving on and being alright…That’s FEARLESS too. But no matter what love throws at you, you have to believe in it. You have to believe in love stories and prince charming and happily ever after. That’s why I write these songs. Because I think love is FEARLESS.”
― Taylor Swift
Life has reshaped my thinking generally, I have developed a thick skin and I am very determined and optimistic to move on from every awkward situation I find myself. I am alone and very happy and comfortable.
I make my own decisions and make sure they work for good for me, I feel that’s the power of a courageous woman. Honestly I still feel lonely sometimes and crave for so many things, I crave for intimacy from a soul mate, I crave a cuddle from someone I love and I crave him telling me thank you for all your hard work.
I love my kids, my love for them is unconditional but there is a part of me that is still empty seeking to be filled someday, it does not stop me from moving on, It does not hold me back in any way. I am my own woman and in due time things will work out good for me.
I plead on women to be supporting hands to each other there should not be a cause where women should drag each other down, or be at logger heads,.
One word for you. WOMEN OF VISION STICK TOGETHER THEY DON’T BRING THEMSELVES DOWN. Love you always.
