Destiny Child’s Michelle Williams will be joining a host of stars including: Bobby Brown, K Michelle, Kelly Rowland, Kelly Price and other A-list celebs on BET’s American Soul series.
American Soul, set to premier February 5, 2019, chronicles the life of Don Cornelius and his iconic music show, Soul Train.
Deadline reports that Williams will play Diana Ross, “who Cornelius is courting her to appear on his new show, but she hasn’t quite decided if she will accept his offer yet.”
Brown will guest star as singer Rufus Thomas, K. Michelle as Martha Reeves of Martha and The Vandellas; Gabrielle Dennis will star as Tina Turner, while Hit the Floor heartthrob McKinley Freeman, will guest star as Ike Turner.
