The period before conception for most couples more specifically spanning months and years is defined by anxiety, loneliness and depression.
Inspired by her own traumatic personal experience and battle with infertility, having undergone series of failed IVFs, experienced miscarriages, lost a set of twins when almost full term, finding out after marriage both herself and her husband were carriers of sickle cell anemia, topped up with the draining of resources financially in a bid to pay for treatment, all without valid support, before fate smiled and the pair welcomed a set of twins in 2018 years after her first child, Omotade Alalade decided to step up to the challenge, ensuring other expectant couples don’t have to go through the same ordeal, hence, Beibei Haven Foundation, a non profit organisation dedicated towards helping families walk through their fertility journey was birthed.
The organisation, aimed towards helping couples through infertility, pregnancy/baby loss, miscarriages, complicated pregnancy and genotype challenges, also provides grants to the families as well.
Beibei Haven Foundation has since provided support, physically, mentally and emotionally to struggling families as well as goes a step further to create awareness and spread the word about ending preventable stillbirths, fibroids and fertility.
This fulfilling journey has in numerous ways impacted homes, put smiles on countless faces and ultimately changed lives.
