Yemisi Edun is the boss lady at First City Monument Bank (FCMB). She became the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer in July 2021, making her the first woman to hold this position. It’s not a coincidence that she got this important job. Yemisi is super qualified and has lots of experience working in the banking world. She has been working for almost 35 years, starting her career at a company called Akintola Williams Deloitte. She joined FCMB in 2000 and has been doing amazing things ever since.

Over 150 businesses received loans with no interest, and 125 businesses got credit guarantees to secure loans without having to give collateral. Yemisi Edun has received many awards for her amazing work at FCMB. She has been recognized both in Nigeria and internationally for her contributions to the economy. She studied Chemistry at the University of Ife, Ile-Ife and got a master’s degree in International Accounting and Finance from the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. She is a member of several professional organizations and has certifications in accounting and auditing.
