The 13th of October 2021 saw the highly anticipated special crowning of Miss Universe Ghana.
Beating fellow competitors from all over the country, Naa Morkor who clinched the coveted crown will have the opportunity to represent the country at the upcoming 70th edition of Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel in December.
A model entrepreneur and Business Administration undergraduate Naa who hails from Prampram in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana succeeds Miss Universe Ghana 2020 Chelsea Tayui.
Miss Universe Ghana with slogan – Ghana’s Next Sweetheart is a national pageant that sends representatives to the Miss Universe pageant.
Prior to her big win, Miss Naa had established herself as a force in several pageants including being the second runner up at Miss Universe Ghana 2018, as well as the Miss Intercontinental Africa. She also competed in Miss Intercontinental 2016 in Sri Lanka.
“To our new queen, may you be an inspiration that reflects true vision to every Ghanaian woman and every individual the world over,” the Miss Universe Ghana organization said in a statement.
According to the National Director of Miss Universe Ghana, Mrs. Menaye Donkor Muntari, speaking on Tourism, Opportunities, and Service, associated with the title, Mrs Muntari said the Miss Universe Ghana brand is passionate about tourism:
“The queens who represent Ghana are, therefore, trained to establish relationships across the globe and enlighten the world about our country by marking Ghana out as a prime tourism destination,” she said.
The new queen believes that the Miss Universe Ghana platform will help her touch lives.
