Every incredible success story navigated through a rough patch and for Mohammed Abubakar, a licensed pilot who now proudly has the pilot tag to his name, his story isn’t any different.
The Nigerian native has swept hearts many thanks to his courage, determination and perseverance. Starting out, Abubakar started from the bottom as an airplane cleaner, earning a misely wage of about $0.50 cents a day.
Black Culture New reports that after a failed attempt at enrolling in Kaduna Polytechnic, Abubakar decided to take a job with Kobo Air, as an airplane cleaner, his diligence saw he scale through the ranks as he was promoted to ground staff and later to the cabin crew.
Owing to his wealth of experience and brilliance, Abubakar secured a job with Aero Contractors as a flight attendant but that wasn’t enough for the determined young man, he needed more!
With the help of his managing director Abubakar was able to enroll in a pilot training program located in Canada where he secured his private pilot’s license and later his commercial pilot’s license. He is now a part of Azman Air Services Limited, based in Kano, Nigeria.
Azman Air super impressed with Abubakar’s success journey took to Twitter to showcase Abubakar receiving his fourth bar signaling his promotion to captain status.
