We celebrate an exceptional personality, a proud Nigerian in the diaspora waving the flag high, Councillor Yemi Osho, former Mayor of Waltham Forrest.
A dedicated and passionate nurse boasting of a remarkable 30 year career and counting, a force to be reckoned within the political world and beyond, forever fighting injustice and promoting equality, Cllr Yemi Osho having distinguished herself in both worlds has bagged several accolades; in 2012 was awarded the Queen’s Nurse title in recognition of her leadership and commitment to providing patients with high quality care, in 2013 she was named National ‘Activist of the Year’ by Movement for Change.
Councillor Yemi Osho in 2014, was elected counsellor of Lea Bridge ward, Waltham Forrest, became mayor in 2017 and is still going strong!
