It’s #NationalSonsDay today and in celebration we tune our lens in celebration of our boys and men all around the globe!
#Brains 💥 Here’s the dude crashing the headlines; At 16, East London School boy, Ramarni Wilfred with an IQ score of 162 tops American business magnate Bill Gates’ IQ score of 160 and the estimated 160 of Einstein.
British teenager Ramarni Wilfred who studies at a comprehensive school in east London, has now been dubbed a genius and the smartest boy in England’s capital after he aced his IQ test.
The young genius has always shown exceptional brilliance even as a child, reports The University Herald. In pre-school, Wilfred was able to read and write, and at 10, he wrote a justice theory paper that won him prestigious honors. It’s that excellence that caught the attention of MENSA, a high IQ society that “welcomes people from every walk of life whose IQ is in the top 2% of the population, with the objective of enjoying each other’s company and participating in a wide range of social and cultural activities.”
“I always remember driving him to nursery and he was telling me about something he’d seen on the news, and it was a very political subject,” his mom, Anthea Wilfred, told BBC. “Later on that afternoon, I saw the optic on the TV and I thought, my two-and-a-half-year-old has just been talking to me about this in the car. It was just bizarre.”
Though he supercedes most teens his age, his interests still lean towards pretty typical, as he enjoys playing with his dog, watching the Disney Channel, and reading comic books. However, his overall curiosity will continue to further his intelligence, Afro tech reports.
“It’s probably in place of me not knowing something, and from the ignorance is a desire to understand it, to know it,” he told BBC. “It’s just about finding your thing and finding what you are very interested in, what makes you excited, what you actually want to learn about.”
