A Civil Servant with experience spanning over 20 years in both strategic and operational roles, currently in Immigration enforcement and works as the Home Office National Community Engagement Lead – Nigeria, Ms. Jenkins MBE is responsible for building relationship between the Home Office and Community), constantly raising awareness and arming them with information to help them be law abiding citizens.
In 2016, she made the highly coveted Queen’s honours list – one of two Nigerians recognised as Member of the British Empire (MBE) for Border Security and Staff Wellbeing.
Prior to receiving the prestigious honours, a people’s person, in 2014 she was awarded Home Office (HO) Equality Diversity and Inclusion Advisor (EDIA) of the year.
A graduate of the University of Jos with a degree in General & Applied Psychology, Jenkins MBE kicked off her professional career landing her first ever job with Nigerian Agip Oil (NAOC) Lagos, Nigeria, in Customs.
Upon relocation to the United Kingdom, she launched her career at Her Majesty Customs & Excise (HMCE). Selfless, courageous and everly passionate, Yemisi Jenkins MBE is spreading her wings and soaring impressive heights!
